What we collect

Nothing. Another CV Maker (anothercvmaker.com) is a free CV builder that works without accounts, sign-up forms, tracking, analytics, or advertising. We do not collect, receive, or store any personal data on our servers, because there is essentially nothing on our servers that could receive it.

Where your CV data lives

Everything you type into the builder — your CV content, photo, template choice, colors, and other settings — is saved only in your browser’s localStorage, a small storage area built into your browser that belongs to your device. It never leaves your machine.

This has practical consequences worth knowing: your draft is tied to the browser and device you used. Clearing your browser storage deletes it, and using a different browser or device starts with an empty draft. That is the price of never uploading anything, and we think it is a good deal.

Exporting or importing your data as a JSON file happens locally in your browser, as does generating the PDF (via your browser’s print dialog). In both cases the file is created on your device and is not sent anywhere.

What we don’t do

To be explicit, Another CV Maker does not: require or offer accounts; use tracking or analytics tools; run advertising; use third-party cookies; sell, share, or monetize your data in any form. There is no mailing list. You will not hear from us.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. As with any website, Vercel’s infrastructure may technically process your IP address and standard request metadata in server logs to deliver the pages to you. These logs are operated by Vercel under their own privacy policy, are not accessible to us for tracking purposes, and are not used by us in any way.

Your rights (GDPR & friends)

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have rights to access, correct, and erase your personal data. With Another CV Maker these rights are trivially easy to exercise, because all of your data is physically on your device:

Access:open the builder — everything we “hold” is right there on your screen. Erasure: click “New CV” in the builder to wipe your draft, or clear your browser’s site data for anothercvmaker.com in your browser settings. Once you do, the data is gone for good — we have no copy to restore.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Given that the current version mostly says “we collect nothing”, any future version that says otherwise would be a change worth noticing.
