Marketing Specialist Resume Example
Marketing hiring managers read a resume the way they read a campaign report: what was the goal, what did you spend, what came back. A list of channels you have "managed" tells them nothing. The same channels with the result attached tells them almost everything.
The strongest marketing resumes connect activity to revenue or pipeline wherever the numbers allow it. Where they do not, use the closest honest metric you owned: qualified leads, conversion rate, cost per acquisition, open rate.

What matters for a marketing specialist resume
Every bullet needs a result
"Ran paid social campaigns" is a job description. "Ran paid social on a $40k quarterly budget at a 3.1x return" is evidence. If a project had no measurable outcome, it is probably not one of your best bullets.
Name the tools in the posting
HubSpot, Google Ads, GA4, Salesforce, Meta Ads Manager: if the job lists them and you use them, they belong in your skills section in the same spelling. That is what keyword matching looks for.
Show the channel mix you own
Generalist and specialist roles want different things. Make it obvious from the first lines whether you lead with paid, content, lifecycle or product marketing, and match that to the role.
Link the work, keep the CV clean
A portfolio or case-study link in your contact line does more than a long paragraph. Keep the resume itself to results and let the link carry the visuals.
FAQ
What should a marketing resume include?
A two-line summary naming your channel focus, experience with measurable campaign results, the tools you use daily, and education. Certifications such as Google Ads or HubSpot are worth listing when the role uses those platforms.
Should I include a portfolio link?
Yes, if you have work you can show. Put it in the contact line where a recruiter sees it immediately, and make sure it opens to your best two or three projects rather than everything you have made.
How do I show results if I did not own the budget?
Use the metric you did own. Leads generated from your content, open rate on the emails you wrote, conversion lift from the landing page you rebuilt. Say what you were responsible for, not what the whole team achieved.
